A GAME DESIGNER

 

All of my life from when I can remember, I have been playing videogames, with Asteroids being my first.  I can't think of anything else that I enjoyed more or was more passionate about growing up.  I've done the best I can working my way up through the industry, starting as a QA Tester, then becomming an Assistant Producer, to ultimately fulfilling my dreams as a Game Designer.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Positive, innovative, and professional; my experience stems from shipping 14 titles, working with cutting-edge next gen technology, and providing game-play/UI solutions for large franchises.  Some of those franchises include: Forza Motorsport 4 & 5 (Microsoft), Spider-Man (Marvel), Power Rangers (Disney), Nicktoons (Nickelodeon), and many others.

  • Skagit Valley College, Graphic Arts, Mount Vernon, Washington – 1997

  • Graduate, Stanwood High School, Stanwood, Washington (Class of ‘97)

    • Graphic Designer/Digital Artist for the school, creating the cover for the yearbook and class section divider pages.

  • 2-YR. Printing/Graphic Art program, Millard South, Omaha, Nebraska – 1995 - 1996

    • 1st in class (extensive Adobe Photoshop training) and Junior Class T-shirt designer.

I possess an unrelenting work-ethic from writing countless game design documents, various flowcharts, graphs, and mock-ups during each development process.  I've also worked extensively on designing development tools, game mechanics, block-mapping levels, fleshing out story flows, scripting, and designing different types of A.I.
